Summer birthdays in Kuwait need a dessert that survives the drive and the table. An ice cream cake does both — it arrives cold, cuts clean, and gives guests relief from the heat rather than another heavy slice.
Why an ice cream cake works here
Traditional cakes feel heavy in 45°C. An ice cream cake is immediate refreshment, and the texture contrast does the rest — soft ice cream against crunchy biscuit, fudgy brownie, or crisp chocolate shards.
How an ice cream cake is made
The base is a digestive biscuit layer, pressed and frozen firm so it holds under the weight above it. Then comes a sponge layer, then fruit purée, then the ice cream itself, each layer frozen before the next goes on. Rushing that sequence is what causes the layers to slide apart when the cake is cut.
The whole cake is finished with cream and topped with fresh fruit and pistachios, then returned to the freezer until collection. Because every stage needs freezing time, these are made to order rather than kept in stock.
Our ice cream cakes
Mango with fresh mango and pistachio
Vanilla sponge, fresh mango purée, mango ice cream and a digestive biscuit base, topped with ripe mango, assorted fruit and pistachios. Serves 8–10.
Strawberry
Vanilla sponge, strawberry purée and strawberry ice cream with fruit pieces on a buttery digestive base, wrapped in vanilla cream and topped with strawberries, seasonal fruit and pistachios. Serves 8–10.
Choosing the right size
Both cakes serve 8 to 10 as a main dessert. If the cake is one of several desserts on the table, the same size stretches to 12 to 15 smaller slices.
For larger gatherings, two smaller cakes in different flavours work better than one large one — they thaw at the same rate and give guests a choice.
Customisation
You can choose the sponge base, add a message, and design the interior with berry coulis or caramel swirls.
Ordering and delivery
Order at least a day ahead — the freezing stages cannot be shortened. Cakes are delivered frozen in insulated packaging.
Once it arrives, keep it in the freezer until 15 to 20 minutes before serving. That is long enough to cut cleanly without the layers softening. Do not move it to the fridge in advance.
The bottom line
Match the size to your guest count, order a day ahead, and take it out of the freezer shortly before it is needed. Browse the full range in ice cream cakes and treats.
